“The Voelker residence is a conceptual remodel of a 7,900 sq. ft. family home in Newton, KS. The client wanted to revamp their prairie-style modern home that was built in 1957. The Voelker's are a family of three, two adults and their newborn. The design team traveled to Newton to understand what the project entailed and the family’s design goals. After assessing the home, the rooms were large and lacked character. Textures, masses, and space planning were used to make the spaces feel more intimate and add life. This led to the final conceptual drawings that were manually drafted and rendered. The result was a comfortable, intimate design for a growing family.”
