“This project opened my eyes to the world of commercial design. We were tasked to design a small pediatric clinic for two doctors to practice medicine on all ages of children. This project introduced us to commercial spaces, and its purpose was to have us consider every type of person and ability in a public space.  

My primary concern was to accommodate all ranges of ability and to keep the space appealing and functional. My process began with determining room adjacencies, and then placing them within the confines of the space. After finalizing the floor plan, I carefully designed each space based on the concept of growth and movement and designed the layout, materials, and furniture based on this idea. This process resulted in a vibrant and inclusive space full of colorful, fun spaces for children and parents, and a relaxing place for employees to work safely and proficiently.”
