“The purpose of this project was to design a successful Research and Development Hub in Boston, Massachusetts for the company Next. Next is a leading global consumer robotics company that is made up of researchers, engineers, and product designers whose goal is to create electronics and smart home devices that improve the everyday lives of consumers. Next’s main core values that were considered throughout the design of the space include innovation, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. Using their values, personal goals, and location, a concept was developed that led all design decisions and considerations. Using the process of programming, schematic design, and design development, an office environment that carefully aligned with Next’s overall company culture was created.”
