“Focusing on the concept of “hygge”, a Danish term used to describe the feeling of wellness and contentment, Att Leva Clinic is a pediatrics clinic designed to stimulate the senses, including sight, smell, touch, and hearing, in every space. By manipulating the senses and designing for human well-being, can create healthy spaces and fabricate a thoughtful patient and user experience. We created a comfortable environment for the patients: children between the ages of newborn to eighteen. The pediatric clinic offers a healthy play area consisting of natural elements and creates a safe and interesting environment for waiting. The client desired each space to be different and supportive of user differences. In medical facilities, one model of patient care is “on-stage/off-stage”. The on-stage areas particularly suit the needs of the children, parents, and health professionals, while the off-stage areas suit the needs of only adult clinic workers. Designing for patient well-being and comfort is empowering for the patients and the clinic workers. ”
