“We feel our project embodies empowerment by giving us the opportunity to empower our client base through universal design. We designed a space that could be independently and easily navigated and experienced by all who enter. Additionally, we created many collaborative spaces that empowered the residents and guests to interact with others to build a sense of community and belonging. We also found it empowering to be able to work as a team of women on such a rigorous project with only a 21-day duration. ”
