lorem “Empowering women in the workforce is having a voice that carries ideas and thoughts to others in an environment that feels open and welcoming for all to have a say. The best thing that comes from the empowerment of any person, is that it fosters a chain of empowerment, inspiration, and productivity in others. We, as female students, have been given the tools and the room to use them by our college, our professors, and ourselves. Our project, Lorem, which was submitted for the national IDEC competition, ended up ranking as a finalist. It was extremely rewarding to see our group’s hard work be paid off and be ranked well although we were only second-year students. Not only was it empowering to be recognized by the judges and our school for our work on this project, but the creative control that we had during the project also had its own sense of empowerment. Having this opportunity and being a part of Kansas State’s Interior Design program has empowered us to be confident and know we are equal in the workforce. We are proud to be a part of this movement to empower designers through our education in K-State’s Interior Design program. We hope to inspire and make a difference for others” — Blaze Parson, Aidan Lammers & Mimi Anderson Slide 1 Slide 1 (current slide) Slide 2 Slide 2 (current slide) Slide 3 Slide 3 (current slide) Slide 4 Slide 4 (current slide) Slide 5 Slide 5 (current slide) Slide 6 Slide 6 (current slide)
