“This project was completed during a transition from campus to home during the Covid-19 pandemic. We were prompted to create a weekend getaway from a limited amount of square footage that we could only relocate and not rid of completely. Initially, the submission was intended to be a physical model to showcase our solution. Yet, we were now presented with programs we hadn’t worked with or even heard of. I was quite hesitant about translating this project onto software so soon. This project challenged my poor relationship with technology in a time of uncertainty. It was this project that showed me the importance of preliminary work to empower myself through a stronger understanding of my design. Resulting in feeling more confident in my abilities to create a design solution.”
