Free People Lookbook

“The purpose of my look-book for the company Free People was to show all the different skills that I had learned in my Fashion Aesthetics class. Not only was I able to show off the different Adobe Suite skills that I had learned throughout the course of the semester, but I was also able to share the different skills that I knew on how to capture the image of a certain brand and portray that through a ten-page look-book. The lookbook that I created was based on the Free People 2021 spring collection that was released in March of 2021. The spring collection had a retro and beachy sense of style that was being used, so I incorporated that style into how I built my lookbook. My target market for this specific project was women in the age range of their late teens all the way to women who were in their late 30s to early 40s. To create my look book for Free People, it was done using one primary source Adobe Photoshop. I was able to create each individual page on photoshop by taking pictures from the Free People website for this certain collection and then adding text and item descriptions on top of the photos to give as much information as possible to the consumer.

The outcome of my look-book was to be able to portray a complete collection of clothing through a ten-page look-book that would either be mailed out or distributed at the storefront, with the hopes that it would result in purchases from the spring 2021 collection. My project embodies the theme of Our 150-year Legacy of Excellence & Empowerment by showing how I strove for excellence when creating this look-book by connecting others through the meaning of clothing. ”
