cats by 2000
“This look was mindfully created with the goal of incorporating sustainability into a popular garment category. This was achieved through versatility, added meaning, and the incorporation of deadstock material. The production process taught valuable skills and techniques related to knit garment production. This empowers me for a career where knits are at the forefront. Key skills I gained were working with two different knit weights and experimenting with a new machine. I pushed myself to use the flat-seamer machine for nearly every seam including the zipper. This allowed the garment to be reversible including the pockets. With two pockets in the front and one in the back, there is enough space to put the necessities when working out. I am so proud to express the K- State legacy through the deadstock royal purple and cheer on the Cats with a look that has been touched by the 2000s.”
